A star somm for everyone

Norman may be the youngest person on this year’s list, but that in no way means she’s the least accomplished. Norman joined the Spago wine team at just 21 years old shortly after passing her Certified Sommelier exam. And, in the past year alone, she’s also launched an affordable and accessible online wine course that has already provided more than 30,000 hours of wine education in more than 15 countries and cofounded the charitable organization The United Sommeliers Foundation, to provide financial assistance to out-of-work sommeliers due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. As of press time, the foundation has already raised more than $800,000 and distributed funds to more than 750 sommeliers in need.
