Imports with intent
With bachelor’s degrees in molecular and cell biology and international development from University of California, Berkeley, Bulmash began her career as an international development specialist with a focus on Latin American public health, agriculture and food security programs before venturing into the world of wine. A harvest in South Africa in 2011 opened her eyes to the intersection between her profession and passion for wine. She sought to establish a business to draw on those connections to better democratize the wine industry by celebrating producers who work and farm responsibly. Founded in 2013, Wine for the World, her import and distribution company, represents wines made by sustainable, socially responsible producers who make an impact on their local environments for the greater good.
