Price Hambrecht started her career in bars and restaurants in North Carolina, later becoming a Silicon Valley creative consultant who helped shape brands like Facebook, Twitter and Uber, among others. Eventually, she found her way back to booze, she says: In 2019, she cofounded Haus, a line of natural aperitifs made with responsibly sourced fruits, herbs and botanicals, with a focus on quality and sustainability.
In an unusual move toward transparency, the labels include nutritional information and complete ingredient lists. After an initial launch as a direct-to-consumer company, the breezy brand has grown to 30 employees, raised $4.5 million in funding and has found favor with millennial consumers.
