Creating Better Connections
Originally from Panama, Richards’ passion for wine began while she was living in Paris. After moving to New York, she worked in various marketing and public relations positions before founding Vino Concierge, a private wine consultancy focusing on bilingual (Spanish and English) PR, education, tastings and events.
She went on to cofound Hispanics in Wine, a social platform dedicated to amplifying Hispanic and Latinx contributions to beverage and hospitality businesses, in September 2020. “I am very passionate about educating Black and Latinx consumers about wine, making it fun, approachable and open,” she says. “My cultural duality as both Black and Latina allows me to connect and engage with these types of consumers, who are often neglected in marketing efforts, on a much deeper level.”
