Hambrecht is no newcomer to the wine and spirits industry—he’s a third-generation winemaker and has managed Grist Vineyard for more than a decade. Notably, he also shepherded Alysian Vermouth into existence, a foreshadowing of his future life in botanicals. At Haus, he built a botanical extraction system that converts what usually takes 30 days into a one-day process, enabling flavors like lemon lavender and grapefruit jalapeño into existence with ease. Hambrecht recently stepped down as co-CEO of Haus to focus on consulting for brands in the wine, spirits and consumer packaged goods space.
