With the philosophy that wine is not just a beverage, it’s an experience, Desiree Harrison-Brown left her 9-to-5 corporate career in project management to start her own business and peruse wine education. To chronicle her wine journey, she created the lifestyle blog Wino Noire.

As a WSET Level 3 wine educator, Harrison-Brown teaches certification courses at Napa Valley Wine Academy. And in 2020, she launched her own online wine retail shop, Wino Shop, to amplify positive representation of the Black community in the wine industry.
