After earning a degree from Cornell in Viticulture and Enology, Winter worked at wineries such as Chalk Hill, Raymond, Quivira and Clos du Bois in Napa and Sonoma, as well as for international wine consultant Paul Hobbs. At BevZero Winter is revolutionizing the low and no-alcohol beverage category with her technical expertise of traditional winemaking, including with such products as Herbacée’s cannabis-infused wines and is considered the go-to resource for cannabis and de-alcoholized wine, beer and cider. She has written extensively about the challenges of climate change on the flavor of wine as well as its impact on yields and the promise of minor alcohol adjustments as a way to find balance in hot regions.
