With an expanded wine list of more than 500 offerings, Adega has the largest Portuguese collection outside Portugal, with food that holds its own against Lisbon’s finest. The five-course “Classico” menu is an overview of the country’s cuisine, while the seven-course “Chef’s” menu features ever-changing seasonal dishes.
From the Sommelier: “Portugal is experience a phenomenal boom in tourism and interest in Portuguese wines is benefiting from that. Alvarinho, Touriga Nacional and Baga are now becoming part of the wine vocabulary. It’s rewarding to hear someone tell us that after drinking a $300 bottle of Douro wine it was one of the best wines they ever enjoyed – ‘and what a bargain it was!’ ” —Carlos Carreira, Adega
