Restaurateurs Junghyun and Ellia Park made a name pairing great wine with Korean food at Atoboy. Their new Atomix offers a kaleidoscopic tasting menu that, for all its innovation, is rooted in tradition. Wine Director Jhonel Faelnar’s pairings and bottle list also straddle classical and radical.
From The Sommelier: “So many people are open-minded and curious to try new things, and less so in a passive way these days. There seems to be a stronger urge to try something new and unexpected and yet also curiosity about the classics. I’ve had more active conversations about not-so-familiar-sounding grape varieties on our glass and bottle list in the last year than I ever have in the past.” —Jhonel Faelnar, Atomix
