It’s hard not to love this “Texas brasserie,” where most of the food is cooked over wood fire. Wine Director Joshua Thomas returned to his hometown after more than a decade in California, bringing a taste for small family wineries and lighter styles.

It is refreshing and makes me proud to be a part of the development of the wine and restaurant scene in San Antonio. My staff started out with myself as the only person on the floor who could talk about the wine. Now we have a Sommelier besides myself on the floor every night, and all of the managers have earned their Sommelier certifications, and aren’t stopping any time soon to further their education.
