This Santa Barbara favorite had one of the city’s most thoughtful outdoor-dining transitions, turning two parking lots into landscaped heated areas, complete with music, that reflected the cozy indoor atmosphere. It also offered family-meal packages and deeply discounted wines from the cellar for dining at home.
More importantly, staff spent much of their time preparing meals for the Santa Barbara Food Bank, and The Lark’s restaurant group, Acme Hospitality, instigated a free grocery program for team members across its nine food and beverage concepts.
“Covid exposed the roots of why each individual feels chosen by this industry, and that is our love for each other and our love for our guests,” says General Manager Kacey House. “Every step of the way our team bounced back as better humans and better leaders.”
