Allswell Endswell Cocktail

From Wade McElroy of Young American, a forward-thinking new cocktail bar in Chicago’s Logan Square, the smokey notes of mezcal join forces with bittersweet, vegetal gentian root liqueur and Sipsmith’s floral-tinged sloe gin to form an intoxicatingly aromatic bouquet.

Sloe Gin is Back and Better than Ever
  • 1 ounce mezcal
  • ½ ounce Sipsmith Sloe Gin
  • ½ ounce Salers Aperitif
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ¾ ounce raspberry syrup
  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Mint sprig, for garnish

Add all ingredients to Collins glass over crushed ice. Stir briskly with swizzle stick or cocktail spoon. Top with more crushed ice, and garnish with mint sprig.
