This refreshing drink also works as a nonalcoholic sparkler: add some extra cubes of cantaloupe, and finish with a generous splash of seltzer or soda water.
About the Vodka
Belvedere Vodka is a rye-based spirit from Poland. Its crisp, relatively neutral profile allows bright, clean flavors like cantaloupe and basil to shine.
- 1½ ounces Belvedere Vodka
- 4–5 cantaloupe cubes
- 2 basil leaves, plus 1 for garnish
- ¾ ounce simple syrup
- ¾ ounce lime juice
Add all ingredients (except garnish) to cocktail shaker. Muddle cantaloupe and basil gently. Add ice, and shake well. Pass through fine-mesh strainer into coupe. Garnish with remaining basil leaf.
