Milk & Honey’s Take on the Palmetto Cocktail

Developed by the late Sasha Petraske, the Pan Am recipe mixes together cachaça, orange bitters and dry vermouth for a savory twist on a classic cocktail.

The late Sasha Petraske is revered for his contribution to cocktail culture, especially his eight-point treatise on bar etiquette. The Pan Am, created for Milk & Honey, combines cachaça, orange bitters and vermouth, where the Palmetto uses rum.

Cachaça Inspired Cocktail Recipes
Ingredients
  • 2 ounces cachaça, preferably Avuá Amburana
  • ½ ounce Original Combier orange liqueur
  • ½ ounce dry vermouth
  • Orange twist, for garnish
Directions

Combine ingredients, except garnish, in cocktail shaker. Stir well, and strain into coupe.
