Port Au Prince Cocktail

This riff on Planter’s Punch is made funkier and drier by using clairin.

2 ounces clairin
¼ ounce overproof or Demerara rum
¾ ounce falernum
½ ounce pineapple juice
¼ ounce grenadine
¾ ounce lime juice
6 drops Bittermens ‘Elemakule Tiki Bitters
Grated nutmeg and orange peel, for garnish


Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a Collins glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and a strip of orange peel.
