The Campo Mojito

Created by Fulvio Virgili of La Curia di Bacco in Rome, this inspired twist on the Mojito combines fresh strawberries and basil selected daily from the famous Campo di Fiori (Field of Flowers) market located just steps away from the restaurant. –Jarred Patton

  • 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 5 medium-sized strawberries
  • 10 medium-sized basil leaves
  • 3 ounces ginger ale
  • 1-½ ounces Bacardi light rum
  • Crushed ice

Muddle together 1/2 lime, sugar and strawberries. Add 6-8 basil leaves, muddle again and cover with a dash of ginger ale. Fill to the rim with crushed ice. Add rum, top off with ginger ale and stir well. Garnish with a lime wheel and remaining basil.
