About Côtes-du-Ventoux

Situated in southeast France along the lower slopes of the Ventoux Mountain, falling between Côtes du Rhône and Provence, is the Côtes du Ventoux Wine Region. While red, white and rosé wines are all produced here, it is the red blends that account for the majority of the production. Crafted from many of the same varieties used throughout the Southern Rhône—Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Carignan—these wines express flavors of black fruit, pepper, spice and slight oak nuances while baring a rusticated elegance. White production is based on the Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne varietals and are enjoyed for their youthful stone fruit and radiating floral tones. The watermelon-pink rosés are vinified from the same grapes as the red wines and create a refreshing wine that pairs perfectly with grilled fish. While Côtes du Ventoux wines are better known for their value, you can find some of the top rated selections in our Côtes du Ventoux Wine Ratings.
